Cermark Banchee G-3D?
saw one fly at an electric flyin and was simply awesome! MR. Wright was doing waterfalls ten feet off the ground with hardly any throttle and no snapping characteristics, i was at a loss of words! does anyone have the glow version because i dont feel like spending the money for an electric one. if anyone has any flying characteristics you could share good or bad i would greatly appreiciate it! thanks.

here is a link to a large, and I mean large thread on the build up and flying of the electric one. You should find alot of info that can be passed to the glow side. I fly the electric version my self and love it.

I just bought one from a friend. It has a Saito 72. I haven't flown it yet, but have seen him fly it. Flew great! Probably get it out this weekend.

Flew the Banchee today. Really like the way it flies! It's a little nose heavy which is easy to fix. KE pulls to the canopy. High rates are pretty wild but fun. It's way overpowered with the Saito 72, but I've never found that a problem in any plane :D

Great to hear that you like it. It's a hovering machine. I'm just starting to get used to the harriars on it. It likes it a little higher alpa then you would think. I have about 70% spoiler mixing to elevator for it.
here is a video of Jason Schulman at the sticks of the electric version. http://kepople.rchomepage.com/images/schulbanchee.wmv |

MHalker,
Do you have a weight on your glow version? What's your servo, Rx and batt setup? Marcus |
RE: Cermark Banchee G-3D?
Don't have a weight (can weigh it tonight). Servos are standard Futaba 3001's (or 3004's, I can never remember). RX is a Hitec slim supreme. Battery is 4 cell 1400mah. I have an onboard glow with a one cell battery.

RE: Cermark Banchee G-3D?
I have 3 flights on a Banchee (sic) G-3D. Other than the fact they can't spell Banshee and the nose looks stupid (it is probably the same nose as the electric version) it is a good airplane.
I am using an OS .46AX with a 12-4 APC and Omega 10%. Plenty of engine. Regular servos. Does great harriers and elevators. If it has a longer tail wheel or I was flying from grass, I could easily land from the elevator. Flips (waterfalls) are much better with spoilerons coupled. Haven't gotten a really good flat spin yet. It keeps rolling or flipping out so I can't get a good blender. I may need to play with the CG. All the regular acro is great. |
