Flip 3D Pitch Coupling
Hi all,
Has any Flip 3D owner encountered any pitch coupling towards the belly? If yes, how did you treat it? CG movement. engine thrust, etc....?? Regards Nick |
RE: Flip 3D Pitch Coupling
Do you mean in Knife edge. I found this in KE, you'll have to live with it, no real solution, is the cowl off by any chance that will effect KE a good deal.

Yes in knife edge. I flew without cowl.

RE: Flip 3D Pitch Coupling
Put the cowl, it really does affect the KE of this machine, it's like cutting the leading edge of your wing off. The fuse acts as a wing in KE so putting it on really will help.
Best thing to do is attach the cowl before making any CG changes or anything else. Then try it out again and then start making changes. Anything you change will be completely different once the cowl is on. Also are the spats on, the extra drag of the wheels will pull it towards the belly too. SPats and swept undercarrigde will also do the trick. |
RE: Flip 3D Pitch Coupling
I didn't notice much pulll to the belly, but I mine does roll opposite to the direction of the input. Its most noticable when lots of rudder is used, such as in a KE elevator as opposed to a KE pass.
