Couple questions regarding Dazzler kit.

1.) It appears that the kit plans do not impart any right thrust through the firewall.... In fact I swear it could be slightly left when looking down on the top of the plane.... Does anyone have any thoughts on whether there should be right thrust? How much?.....I want to keep it tracking through the rolls....don't want it falling out. Right now I have one washer on top left of the engine mount deflecting the engine slightly down right prob 1 degree. (have not flown plane yet...may have to see how it flys..then adjust)

2.) With regard to 3d.... If rudder size is significantly increase and elevator is adjusted to allow greater rudder throw.... is 3d possible with this kit?

I flew mine with washers top and bottom (no downthrust). Also, you might want to reinforce the area where the LE of the wing is glued to the fuse. Mine crackes there the first time.

I had my dazzler over 2 years ago and never tried any 3D with it, but I imagine you could coax it into a harrier and hover it.

It is a great little sport plane but the thing just will not 3D. Not nearly enough authority on the elevator or the rudder. I have been able to hover mine for a few minutes but you have to be just perfect.

As far as thrustline goes I just bolted the engine on and the plane flew great.

Oh yeah and I second the suggestion of reinforcing the area in front of the wing. Also make the cap strips BIGGER next to the fuselage so the covering has more to bite to. Also do not install the cap strips until after the wing is in the fuse, it just makes it easier to slide in as it's a tight fit. If you want you can build the ailerons without the inboard taper and that will help some. Take your time and fit the turtledeck sheeting as it is a PITA to get it right.
