Where and when do they practice?
For people like Jason Shulman and Quique (sp?), does anyone know what field they normally practice at and what days?
I think it would be worth a trip to watch them practice their 3D stuff. I would love to watch. Thanks Craig |

Jason lives in Tuscon, and flies at the Tuscon field out west of the city, and Quique is living in North Carolina on Warren Thomas' farm if I remember right.

Hello all,
Doug, you're right about Quique flying at Warren's farm in Summerfield NC. There are only four guys and one kid (me) that fly there, so it's a relaxing place to fly, and all of the people that fly there are like minded, so we don't have to put up with people that complain about people doing 3D. Quique does not regularly practice 3D, he normally practices F3A, but before a competition that has Freestyle, he will preactice some. But for comps like the TOC, he, like most of the others I'm sure practice the routines (or the maneuvers in the list for the TOC). After all, yo don't get invited to a comp like that for doing the prettiest torque roll, not that I have anything against them, don't get me wrong. It is very entertaining to watch Quique wring out a plane, and it's even funnier to see Warren make Quique dive under his van anfter he buzzed him in his full scale J-3 for "hovering too close to him". |
