Magic drop/hover Video

I guess my Magic isn't as bad as I thought when I got it. Check out the 20 foot drop straight down to a tail touch! Hopefully the server works.

You may have to save first. (about 7mg)

Nice flying. I have a Magic, but never got it to do that! I think my longest hover was about 30 sec... and my only "tail touches" where from flame-outs![:@]

Try right clicking on it and "Save Target as" to you harddrive. I just tried the link on a different computer, it's still working.

Yup! I saw the video.

Wow! How could you 3D the plane so well... you must be really experienced. I find 3D planes totally outrageous and ballistic. Extremely sensitive and twitchy. Fun, though. I LOVE those big wings.

Dropped the bit rate down to 500/sec, quality is still alright, size is down to about 3 meg.

I have a Magic. Well on my second one. The first one I flew for a year and a half. Now it is my night airplane. I have lights in the wings. I do everything I do during the day at night. Anyway the new one I have with a Thunder Tiger 46 flies great. I can hover it for about 3 minutes or more on days when I have good weather to fly. Love elevator touching it. he he. I believe a Magic is a good airplane to sit down and hover all day. Here is a good way to help your hovering. Program in your radio so when you give it Up elevator both of your ailorons go down. Really stables the hover.

Let's see, I think that is Flaperon right? We've been talking about doing night flying. What kind of stuff do you use for lights?

RE: Magic drop/hover Video

Well we took all of the covering off the wing and cover one side red and the other green. We made our own strand of lights using really small bulbs. One side had red bulbs. The other white. Plus we took and it put blocks on the wingtips so we can strap a glow stick that is battery operated on the wingtip. Also we have a small fishing plug light on top of the tail and a white glow stick on the landing gear. It is sooo fun to fly at night. In fact I am thinking about buying another magic and just take the wing from the really old one and switch it to the second one. :) Hovering low at night is really cool to. Just remember where the ground is :)

Hmm...I should probably strip the Magic apart to make a few repairs this winter. Definitely a good time to consider doing some sort of lighting. Any good sources of small lighting/glow systems?

If you go to a walmart and go to the fishing/hunting place you should see these glow stick looking things have have a light bulb in them and has a switch to cut them on and off. It is about the same size of a regular size glow stick. They have a red, green, and white one. For the inside wing lights I am not sure what kind of bulbs are in there. We made our on strand of lights.
I will find out if you want me to on what type of bulbs they are.
