First 3D plane?
What would be the best first 3D plane. I only have 40 to 61 size 2 stroke engines. I also have an old futaba fp-6va 6 channel ( I really don't know if I can mix it or not?), but is flaperon and spoileron a neccesary to hover, I would imagine it is to harrier? thanks for some newbie info.

RE: First 3D plane?
Well, a little spoileron helps on your harries and waterfalls, but you dont want it for hovering. In that engine range you will get a few replies. I would personally put that 61 two stroke in a Funtana 40 or a U-CAN-DO(ugly but good 3D beginner plane). The Funtana will take a lil bit more getting used to but it's a beast when you get good at it. good luck.

thanks vic, it seems like some people on the board put really big engines in the funtana 40. glad to hear you think my 61 may work.

RE: First 3D plane?
I would say a Flip 3D it is supper stable (not ugly!) and very light with massive control surfaces and a .46 to 61 2 stroke is just right for it but, do not fly it fast!!

RE: First 3D plane?
Check out the twist 3d by hangar 9. It is very inexpensive will fly very slow or fast. And for the price you cant beat it. At most hobby shops they are under $100.
