33 % Airtronics setup help
I know how I'm thinking about setting up my h-9 33%extra but am curious of how anyone that fly's larger planes and fly's airtronics, as to how you set up yours. I'm talking 2 rudder 2 elevator 4 aileron and a throttle and choke servo. I am flying the stylus...
Thanks for any advice.... Chris |

Patternflyer1
2 rudder servos on JR match box into rudder port 2 aileron servos into #2 , #6 2 Elevator servos into #3, #7 throttle, choke, GEM 2000 and I4C on the rest of the ports Thats 8. Three switches, dual 6.00 VDC servo batteries one 6.0 VDC receiver battery. The I4C actually makes the 8 channel receiver a 10 channel receiver because it separates servos from RF deck. (you gotta add a y harness to make it 10) For 10 servos no problem, you can have matchbox on one wing with 4 servos, matchbox on the other wing with 4 servos or smart-fly, two servos and smart-fly on the rudder into one port thats 3 ports, dual elevators thats 5, throttle 6, choke 7 aux on a Y harness that's 8 and battery. I was told if your going to run redundant batteries across the receiver buss, run one across the rudder and the other across the battery buss. Good luck jds |
RE: 33 % Airtronics setup help
Thanks Jds
I am going with smart fly equalizers on ailerons and rudder as I am sticking with all Airtronics. I'm going to go with a smart fly power expander for dual receiver batteries. And maybe the dual battery regulator that they sell. I would like a flag and pin type setup, just not sure which will work best with my setup. So , smartfly eq's. Analog servo's. All Airtronics 94358's. Choke servo (which also kills the motor with a switch) Smartfly power expander. Two receiver batteries. Probably Nmp lithium 2400's ( I love these batteries) if they work with the power expander and regulator. If not, I'll go with Jaccio regulators. What am I missing? I know I've been moving slow on this. I really haven't touched it for about 6 months. I fly pattern and it takes up alot of my time. But I will finish this plane this winter for sure. Thanks alot!!!!!!!! Chris |
