Typhoon MV1
Ok folks heres the deal. I have dug out and dusted off the plans to the MV1 Typhoon designed by Ron Chidgey lo these many moons ago. I have purchased a used 120SC,and im getting the garage ready for a building session. The only problem i have is i look at these plans and notice the high parts count on those built up wing and stab. Now understand i like built up wings but i dont really have any way of cutting all that balsa . Does anyone know of someone who could cut me out a rib and former kit for this bird and not totally destroy my bank account[which aint too far from destroyed already]? Thanks Jim

Typhoon 909 or 1000 ??
Hi Jim,...
I caught your post about the Typhoon MV-1, and I was just curious as to which Typhoon you had; the 909 or 1000?? I've got a set of plans for the 909 which I was originally planning on using a Y.S 91 AC in. However, I have since been fortunate enough to purchase a Y.S. 120FZ. Guys on the NSRCA pattern list have suggested using the bigger 120 in the 909 just for a greater power reserve. Just thought I'd ask which way your power requirements tended for this airplane. I'm sorry this doesn't help your situation, but you mentioned "Typhoon" and I got curious, ha!! Signed, [email protected] |

The p[lans i have are the 1000 but they are basically the 909 just enlarged{even says so on the plans}
