I think in the plane :)

My guess would be as follows:
3 per aileron 2 per elevator 6 on rudder (it's huge) 1 on throttle Doug Cronkhite Team JR |

Thats what I was thinking...must be fun ganging 6 8411's..

Not to sound like a blatant plug.. hehe.. but it's pretty easily done with a pair of matchboxes.

Any more info on this bird? Is it a kit, who built it, flying characteristics? It appears to have cannister mufflers, because of the exit position of the exhaust. Also, 40 lbs is quite a bit heavier than Quique's previous TOC planes. Wonder how this will affect those vertical multiple snap maneuvers that are so prevalent in TOC sequences, especially with an airframe that appears to be so fat and "draggy". I'm sure it must fly great though if Quique is giving up the Extra to fly the Yak.

Quique's Yak does have 17 servos.
4 per aileron (8 total) 2 per elevator (4 total) 4 on the rudder 1 throttle The ailerons are HUGE, like all of the other control surfaces on this plane. He was experimenting with spades like on full scale planes, but the last time I saw it, they were off (Do you call them spades Doug? I have heard people call them shovels.). It has to be seen in real life to be enjoyed to the fullest. He has so much stuff on this airplane that he only wanted 1 reciever. He has like 4 batteries, 4 regulators, 4 matchboxs, the 17 servos, and all that is routed to the rx. He said it is the best plane, hands down that he has flown. |

Can you get more detailed pics perhaps?

Most of the '36 pound' TOC airplanes are turning out to be more like 39 - 42 pounds when you put them on a good scale. Hehe. Also.. at 2800 square inches of wing area.. the loading is very light and the airplane should be very nice to fly. Doug |

It looks like the wing was lowered, isn't the Yak54 a mid wing plane?

Here is a real Yak-54 for comparison. I think Quique's interpretation looks better. :D
