Will a gp ultimate do 3d?

I'm building a great planes ultimate this winter and i was wondering if it would be posible to get enough deflection out of it to make it 3d capable. Has anyone here tried it? let me know.

thanks,
Matt

3D?

I have the GP Ultimate and I dont think It will make a very good 3D plane. It will torque roll easily enough but that is about it. It's best maneuver is an inverted flat spin. Take it up high and push the sticks towards the antenna. The little bipe will fall right into the most beautiful flatspin you ever saw! To get it out just neurtalize the controls. Remember on landings to keep a little power on, this plane slows down FAST! It lands very easily but you need power. I have an OS .70 Surpass II on mine and it pulls it well. I would go with a .91 surpass but I have almost 1" ground clearance as it is so the only way to go bigger is a 3 bladed prop. Ill stay with the .70.

THATS IT!

Finally, here is a pic of the elevator pushod (1 side/ other is the same) and the Rudder Pull Pull cable.

I used the same setup for the elevator as the GP Cap 232 Kit. It is a lot easier than the 1 rod and the brass peice connecting the 2 halves that the stock plane has.

Great Planes has the instructions online for the Cap so you can go there and see how it is done.

As Always, feel free to ask more questions!
