School Demo Presentation Help

I was wondering if anyone had like a power point presentation explaining the hobby and explaining how these airplanes fly. We are doing a 2 day demo at my school in two weeks and I was just wondering if anyone has made one yet. Cause I would like to see it so I can make mine.

There is a video called "All Because of Model Airplanes" produced and directed by Bob Benjamin. You can visit his website at www.rcmodel.com and there is contact information there on how to get one. It is very useful in conducting school demonstrations. We have done it a couple of times. The video is 25 minutes long. Another thing you can do is go to your local hobby store and purchase those balsa wind-up rubberband airplanes and hand them out to the students. You can do duration contest. Just take a few models with you, bring a radio and show them how everything works. Electric airplanes work fine. Fun fly airplanes don't take a lot of room to fly either.

Good luck and have lots of fun.

I like the video idea...maybe if you can get it to the teacher a day or two ahead of time? That'll give the other students some background information that will be exciting and entertaining to watch and that'll get 'em primed for your demo!

Next week, Friday (the 13th!?;)) I have a demo flight scheduled out in the back soccer field of our new high school.
I plan on flying my mini Funtana and Tribute. My main group will be Air Force junior ROTC cadets, so they have a "heads up" as far as knowlege about airplanes.
They will also act as crowd control, if necessessary, because there are always people around that seem to come out of the woodwork when they see a model airplane flying :D

Kevin, I read your email and was thinking about coming in to help. I have judge the science fair a couple of years and enjoy helping out the school system. Their are some links on my site that may help. Take a look at them and if you would like me to still come by for support, let me know.
