Katana 140ARF

Hi all,
Has anyone else built a Katana 140ARF and had problems with the balance. I need a huge amount of weight on the front to come close to the plan balance point. I only have a Saito 120 in the front although it weighs about the same as a 150!
An ideas?

Typical actually. Those Saitos are very light. Are your rudder and elevator servos all in the tail? Or is it pull pull rudder and just elevators in the tail? Got any pic's?

Yep,
Three high speed servos plus servo reverser module all stuck right in the rear. Total weight is 5kg/11lb so far with at least 1.5 lbs for the nose to go.

That would explain the balance being off so much. With that light Saito in the nose, and all that stuff in the tail, you have a very tail heavy plane. If you could move the rudder servo to under the canopy and do pull pull that would help. If you wanted it to balance with minimal nose weight added, you'd have to move all the servos to under the canopy and go with CF pushrods and/or pull pull. Or if you left everything as is and went with gas engine in the nose that would balance that plane perfectly.

Yeah, Thanks. Will see how it goes with the ballast first, engine seems to have a fair bit of grunt and shouldn't bother it too much.

Take care
