Ohio R/C 70" Extra 300s Tips
Hello, I posted this message in the kit building forum and got one reply. Although it was helpful, I thought I'd do a little trolling in here... ;)
I Just picked up this kit from a guy in my club. I noticed all the ribs/formers are solid with no lightning holes in them. Should I cut some out? Also, I was planning on an O.S. 160 but I think this may be a bit too much after browsing some old news group posts on Google, would something a little smaller be better? Any other tips are greatly appreciated, Scott G. |
Ohio R/C 70" Extra 300s Tips
Hi Scott,
I am building the Ohio RC Sukhoi 70" kit and have given the ribs a pretty generous amount of dremel diet. As long as you do not weaken the load bearing parts you are fine. I will also be giving the formers some dremel-diet. The wings are done and will be starting on the fuse soon. Planning to keep the RTF weight in the 10# range. I really hope to meet this goal. I have used this method with a few of my aircrafts and have seen no problems whatsoever. Azhar |
