elevator servos?

Hello

I am building a synergy kit from zn Line but am debating on what to install on the elevator ( 2 servos on each stab or just go with the instruction and install a single servo with elevator bellcrank at the back of the tail) what are the pro and con ??
Any info will be appreciated

I recommend using two servos, one for each elevator half and connecting them to the elevattors with pull-pull cables. This set up gives redundancy in the event of a servo failure.

I would recommend two servos if you have a computer radio. If you have one channel for each servo, you can trim the plane real easy.

One servo with a bellcrank is plenty, redundancy is quickly becoming a small issue, the servos of today are ultra reliable and if well taken care of the chances of a failure are very small.

The Synergy is made to have the servo up front, putting any in the tail is likely going to result in a tail heavy condition.

There are few if any dis-advantages to running an MK bellcrank.

Thanks guys,

If I were to use 2 servos on the stab what would be a good servo
I'm not sure but I heard that some of the top fliers uses 2 futaba digital mini servo on each stab for this setup.
If I use a single setup I think a JR8411 will work. Any comment??

CPLR (Synergy designer) runs a 9252 with the MK bellcrank (saw it for myself at the WC). I am running the same setup on Evolis, and it works very well.

Futaba does not currently have any mini servos that are digital. If you must use servos in the tail (I really recommend that you dont ) probably the 9602 would be an OK choice for the job.

I would recommend Futaba 9202 servos.
They are good and reliable.
