***! That looks bizarre!

RE: 4D??
I really think there is no way in the world you can do that type stuff in real life. If you want a challenge try to do it on Real Flight G3. To me it is more realistic flying wise cause I own a vpp plane myself.

RE: 4D??
SukhoiKid,
Take a look at this link as it shows what can be done in the real world. By the way this is the winner of the competition. http://67.18.81.100/rcuvideos/magazi...cottfoster.wmv John |
RE: 4D??
Yea I know. I was doing nose down torque rolls with mine today. If I can get some things fix on mine I will be able to do it 5 feet from the ground. I can only do it 10-15 feet now but I got to fix something so I will have the power to get out of a 5 foot nose down torqueroll. I was just saying that a lot of the things you can do on the aerofly one is just stuff that cannot be done with a real model.

RE: 4D??
ORIGINAL: SukhoiKid I was just saying that a lot of the things you can do on the aerofly one is just stuff that cannot be done with a real model. The great aspect of the flight simulators is the ability to practice manuvers without damaging the airplane you fly. I learned to fly by using the GP G2 along with flying as much as I could at the field. Now I can practice things with AFPD that I would not be able to do at the field at my level of flying. I would have bought G3 but GP killed themselves in my mind when they did not offer a true upgrade path for those that already owned G2 and add-on's. So it was cheaper for me to go with AFPD and I do not look back with that decsion as I'm very happy with it and fly on it whenever I can. I just think that GP was very stupid in not trying to keep the customers they had in their hand with the introduction of G3. What would it have cost them to offer something simalar to what was offered for those that owned AFP when AFPD was released. I think you will see more and more intresting moves come out as the VPP get on more and more airplanes. So do not be suprised if you do see something that mimicks what you saw on AFPD(or any other flight sime with the VPP option). John |
RE: 4D??
Well I guess at my level I needed g3. I would only like aerofly to play around with but to learn to do the manuvers right I needed g3. I still may get aerofly in the future but not now. Anyway a airplane is just way to unstable when you go to the vpp. You cant really control it. Basically I snap mine and throw it to reverse mode and it holds in a down torque roll and would stay if my plane didnt have all of that glue on it but it holds altitude for a while.

RE: 4D??
How about a pusher prop on a 3d model? you'd be stuck with it flying backwards but would it work[sm=rolleyes.gif] It's an image I've often thought of. Turn upto the field, and proceed to taxi out, takeoff and fly backwards. Forgive me if it is a truely crazy idea and not viable thought. If it is, I'll put it down to being up late.

RE: 4D??
Sort of done it on AFPD but its still a VPP:D[8D].
