Well i bought the Modeltech Mini Magic extra

1 Attachment(s)
Got a Bassicly brand new OS25FX sitting on the table, and a whole fleat of HS81's.
Plane looks pretty nice, was impressed with the qaulity as i have had bad experiences with global Aircraft, I will need to run some CA over all the stress points, as there is a lack of glue throughout the entire airframe so andybody else who may decide to buy this make sure you check all the stress points.

I havnt decided whether or not ill use the wire landing gear or change out to Light aluminum gear.
Accses to the landing gear plate is really good, wouldnt be hard at all to install some blind nuts for the solid gear.

Ill let you know how the build goes as i progress, should be a fast build as there isnt much assembly at all.

Heres the specs on the plane

I sure do wish I knew about this plane a few weeks ago. I have a .30 size F.S. that I was looking for a aerobatic plane for & I ended up buying a 36" wingspan extra that I think is not going to be a very good flier. The extra I bought has a much more scale wing and I think this will give me problems. Please keep us posted as to how this flies & if mine flies like crap I might buy this plane.

I bought one last week, and I'm in the process of building it now.

Mine will be powered by an MP Jet 28/20-7 outrunner...

I have a Kokam 2000 3 cell and I'm waiting for my ESC...

Gonna use HS-81's also, w/ a 555 Rx.

AUW should be 30-32 oz.

It looks like it should be a nice flyin' little airplane, and if it flys like the bigger one, I'll be happy. :D

(I'm hoping it will slow down and settle a little easier than the MF...)

Forgot something...

For all yaz that are interested...

The airfoil is 1.525" thick (mine is anyway...) and w/ a 10.75 " root chord = 14.2% and a 10" tip chord = 15.25% thickness.

I have a feeling that it will be a much nicer flying wing/airplane than some of the others of approx. the same size.

How big is the fuel tank? I had a FunAir 20 and the 2oz tank was way to small for a .26 engine.

Thanks

When i bought it I spoke to a guy who has one with a Magnum xl15, he said it isnt the greatest 3D bird but it will 3D some, of course under the right thumbs im sure it can be really rung out.

I got it to have a small plane thats just easy to toss in the trunk and go, and from the sounds of it its a great fun fly plane, very fast roll rate, tail has plenty of authority.

Might be a week before i get to it, im moving this month so my hanger's about to be uprooted[:@] and im being forced into a 6x8 shed [&o]
Oh well at least my new place sits on 2 acres of land and i can fly my electrics off my back porch :)
