Nylon Coated Kevlar!!
Hey guys, What do you think about using Nylon Coated Kevlar for a Pull-Pull system on a 35% Extra. Just wondering if any of you have encountered any problems with using this type of cable. Thanks alot and any information is appreciated.....Ryan

Some don't use them, but I like to use the crimp tool for the ferrules. Make sure you crimp in the center of the ferrule so as not to pinch the end closed. It could cut the line. I start by clamping the rudder at center position so it doesn't move. Turn on the radio and center the servo. Leave the radio turned on, so the servo arm doesn't move when working. Start with all the turn buckles threaded in by about a 1/4. Do the rudder control horn first. Next, with all secure, pull the cables tight and crimp the servo end. Once secure I drop some thin CA on the ferrules. If you want a tidy look, slide some shrink tube on the cables before crimping so you can slide it over the connections when finished. Don's Hobby sells the coated Kevlar in a pull/pull kit or just the cable itself. SWB Mfg has a nice kit with Titanium turnbuckles, but no Kevlar. Good luck, Joe
