im looking at getting another plane rite now im flying a skybolt nice plane just doesnt due what i want to do i looking at getting a 60 size plane and really want to polish off some 3d flying skills i've looked at the 3d cap-- nice plane, looks good, but pricey, and i ve read that finding a the rite power plant has also been a task u-can-do-3d-----i've read a lot of rave reviews and some not so good but !!! i hear more good than bad--kit not that bad of a price!!but man that is one BUTT UGLY PLANE(no offense to who's his own) thunder tiger 60 staudacher---looks good nice kit price but doesnt look by the specs that it turn out to be a good 3d plane im trying to do my research here by doing a lot of reading and asking about .so if you have any suggestions that would help me make a educated choice im in no way a rich guy, i pretty much fly on a shoestring budget, and id really like something that everyone and there brother is not flying out at the field thx  |
3D
I'm not exactly TOC caliber (I wish) but I can hold my own. I can do a lot more 3D with my 35% than I can with my 25% - I'd say the 35% is at least three times easier. If you really want to do 3D, you will need a larger plane - 100" or greater wingspan. I know planes in this size aren't exactly free, so maybe you can compromise and get closer, say in the 25% to 30% scale range.
The 25% I used to fly until I sold it was a Sig 25% Cap ARF. It actually was a pretty good 3D plane considering its size. It would TR, blender, harrier, etc. Other than getting a 35%-40%, that is the only plane I have had experience with that I would say did 3D. I flew somebody's U-Can't-Do-3D once... my mama told me if you can't say anything nice... Never flown the others you mentioned but if they are fun fly types that are being marketed as 3D ships you would probably be better off with something like a Pizazz or Something Extra, etc. |

I've been starting to 3D my Somethin' Extra, not the greatest 3D plane available but it keeps me happy, good stick bangers airplane but you need a computer radio to really have fun with it.
If you want to see Butt Ugly, look at the Fun 15, that's what I named mine. Mike |

Kangke makes a plane called the Fun-50. A good 61 will give it unlimited vertical, It has HUGE control surfaces and is very light. I've seen it do blenders, harriers, torque rolls, and a knife edge loop. It's a minimal structure design, with wire landing gear. Check it out it may be what your looking for. :)
I have their Cap Sport, its also a good 3-D plane but needs a strong 75-91 for unlimited. Very nice construction and covering, lousey hardware. :D |
