does anybody know how to get a plane to hover on the G2 simulator?
 

I just recieved my new G2 software, with add on #4. it has a 40% Edge 540 I thought for sure I could practice hovering and torque rolling, but No luck. Anybody know the secret?

Bologna, I can hover an RC plane, so it's not me, I'm sure it's something in the setup of the simulator to make it realistic. Somebody knows.

On the left side of the realflight home page there is a tab titled download. Click on it the you will find quite a few planes to download that you will be able to hover with.

IMO all the planes on RealFlight are wayy too easy to hover.

IF their too easy to hover then change their parameters to make them "realistic"...thats what i did (cos the "cap 232 2x" is way too easy)...i now have a virtual model of my cap which hovers the same as my real one.

3D can I get a copy of your cap that you say is just like your real one please. I'd also like an Edge 540 if somebody has it. I can't get the one on Add on #4 to act realistic

Yeah, that Quique Extra has like a 5 to 1 power to weight ratio. I wish my planes can have that much power.

Sorry for not responding to this thread sooner, heres my cap 232 file, it hovers exactly the same as my real one....still easy but at least realisticaly easy ;)

I've been flying on G2 multi-player ever since it came out and i have yet to find anyone that can hover any of the planes in there.
I have over 100 downloaded planes and schemes and none can actually HOVER.
To be more specific, Hovering is keeping the plane in one location facing one direction for extended periods of time (tilting the nose slightly forward should stop the plane from spinning). Torque rolling on the other hand would be the same as hovering except your keeping the plane perfectly vertical to allow the engines TORQUE to spin the plane around it's axis.
Most people can torque roll well enough but as i mentioned earlier, I have'nt seen anyone hover.
If there is someone out there who can , Please Record and Post it for all to see. Good Luck
