3D plane for Tower 75
Hi, I have a tower 75 and I'd like to know which 3D plane would be a good choice.
TIA Steve |
RE: 3D plane for Tower 75
Your best bet will be a profile, there just isnt any 40-60 size wide bodys out there.
I think the Accel hobbys Katana GS70 would be damn good, or if you dont mind kit building the Moja 60 would be awsome with that motor. |
RE: 3D plane for Tower 75
I have That engine on a funtana 40. A little on the heavy side, both otherwise a decent combo.
I've only flown it once yesterday, but it had damn good vertical and seemed to hover about half throttle. I'm running a 14x4 apc prop, so the ground clearance is pretty close. I think I'll get a nice tall Carbon Fiber gear for it. |

Hey 3d4evr, what kind of flying time do you get on the 75 with the stock tank?

hey trogdor,(hehe, good name:-) I'm not sure how long... I've only flown it once, but I had only fillled the tank one time and I had been running the engine on and off for a good half hour getting it tuned right. when i took it up, i only flew for about 5 or 6 min. cause of the rain.
I would guess a good 12 to 15 min?? |
RE: 3D plane for Tower 75
I've got or have had Tower .75 engines on all of the following planes:
CMP 3D Giles http://www.raidentech.com/3dgi20240nig.html PowerLine Edge 540 http://www.jaghobbies.com/rc_cars/edge_46.htm World Models Ultimate--NOT a 3D plane http://www.airborne-models.com/html/...p?ProductID=84 Lanier Razor http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFLB8&P=0 Pheonix Funstar http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEDP0&P=0 SeaGull Harrier http://www.chiefaircraft.com/cgi-bin...Harrier46.html My favorite is the CMP Giles. The Powerline Edge is under construction. I've got high hopes for the PL Edge. The Harrier was pretty good. The rest of them stink for 3D. |

HI RcPilet, Thanks for the info I went with the CMP Giles 202.
I ordered it AK-Model and it went for $ 100 including shipping. Thanks Steve |
