Need help for IMAC, & converted engine plane?
Hello Andrew
This is harry well i want to get started in the IMAC, i am scratch building the plane it is Extra 300s, for the 50cc type, but the engine i am using is a modified for airplane use it is 46cc weight around less than 4lbs. Is it ok ofr to go with this type of engine, i cant afford to buy the DA 50 it too expensive for me. Regards Harry Supley. |
RE: Need help for IMAC, & converted engine plane?
Harry,
Im glad your starting in IMAC. It is a great thing to get involved in. I would assume that the 46cc would be enough on the plane as long as you can keep it light. I know I have flown the QQ 85" yak on a DA 50 and it was insane power so if you can keep the weight to within 15-16 pounds you should have enough power for the first few classes in IMAC. Andrew |

hello Andrew
Thanks for your reply, well than i think i must go for this type of combination, i will start off the construction of the of the extra, i will be building two planes at a time, so in the end i get two planes. since ARF planes cost too much i mean i cant think of buying it, and since i never purchase ARF or even a kit because i cant afford it, i go my way scratch building it, i will send you some pics of it. Harry,
With building your own planes I think you will have much more pride when they are both completed. Please keep me informed how they are going and send pictures when ever you can. Andrew |
