CGP Extra
If i was looking at the new CGP extra with an os 1.60 fx, what prop would be the best for 3-D?

RE: CGP Extra
fine dont reply... gosh

RE: CGP Extra
I am still experimenting..but the 160 does really well with an APC 18x6W blade, good thrust at lower speeds, but will get a good cruise speed also.
What is the CGP Extra? Goldberg or Great planes? |
RE: CGP Extra
C-carl G-goldberg P-products

RE: CGP Extra
I just ordered this plane and am planning on putting a Super Tigre 3250 in it, (cheaper than the O.S. 1.60 and a little more powerful).

RE: CGP Extra
try 18x6 props.....typically I like to use APCs or PRO ZINGERs for 3D with this engine

RE: CGP Extra
ok but how come this plane is more heavy than the slightly larger hanger 9 27% extra 260, and the CGP extra has a lower engine recomendations? now im actually looking at the hanger 9 extra anyways and would put in either a moki 1.80 or 2.10

RE: CGP Extra
No one has an answer to that question...
I'm building the CGP Extra 330 right now, (on sale at tower for $279, FYI). Pretty easy to build and great hardware package. Sure doesn't seem like it's going to weigh as much as they say. |
RE: CGP Extra
whatever

RE: CGP Extra
Most Hangar9 planes are built lighter then other brands I'm not saying there not built well but if you check some of the threads it seems to me anyway that people are always
bracing them up and talking about weak areas I have owned and seen a few and I wouldn't own another myself too many better built planes out there and also remember some manufactures often say things that aren't the total truth they have no way of knowing what you will be putting in your plane for example I always run two rx battrery packs on my biggier pllanes and there is jusy too many different combos to give a true weight happy landings |
