Twin 3D

I was just curious to find out if anyone has tried doing a twin engine 3D model yet?

i havent heard of it yet either. I'm not sure how well it would work.....thats alot of extra weight, and with the increased wing loading, it probably wouldnt perform like we would want it to. however, there is an E-powered foamy 3D twin called the jinx i believe...I've flown a model of it on my G3 simulator and it was actually quite impressive! maybe i'll experiment a little......:D

someone used to make one. It was a twin of the diaboliton. From the old Flying Cirkus videos it looked impressive.

Yeah that one flew well. What about the Chip Hyde thing? Dont think that was for sale but maybe if you bug him enough.

I was thinking about getting three UCD 46's. Cut it up to look like a P38. With dual Saito 82's I think it would do pretty good, with amazingly light wing loading.

I built this last winter: The "Double D"

It's a cross between the tufflight 4D which is an EPP wing/spad design so it's very tough, and does insane waterfalls -- forward or back.

It has the throttles mixed into the rudder for better yaw control. Counter rotating props, twin Saito 72's. Under ideal conditions, it just sits there in a hover if the motors sync up perfectly.

Here's a vid from last January:

a guy at our field had a twinstar and i torque rolled it. i don't think it could hold a hover for to long, but once i got it there, it started spinning fast!
