Hey Logan!
I pretty much feel the same way after watching Garrett fly. Why would he bother to edit a picture?<g> It always looked like to me that maybe he was even 10' away from the plane. He might have just wanted the plane to look really big in comparison to himself. It works the other way, too. In this picture the H9 Cap looks really small: |

Also, keeping track of which one was yours was a bit of a problem. Guess which one is mine......... |

Magic group shot
Ya caught me David. We got back to work from some "lunchtime" flying, took a bunch of digital pics while there. I was stuck on about 2 hours worth of conference calls, so I started playing with the photo editor. Wingspan and I got "caught" by not being on mute while talking about one of the inverted pics. Was quite hillarious. I mean, I had to do something while at work :D

Garret photo is a fake.
I thought that the plane's shadow looked wrong too. So, I drew some lines on the image to see if the plane's shadow was cast onto the pavement correctly. The green lines connect Garret's body parts to the corresponding parts of his shadow. The red lines do the same with the plane and it's shadow.
http://www.usfamily.net/web/craighilgers/gerret4.jpg Without going into a lot of details, the law of perspective dictates that all of the lines that I drew tracing the path of the shadows should converge at a single point if extended far enough (in this case, according to the green lines, they would converge off the image somewhere to the lower left). The shadow of Garret is correct and undoctored. If the shadow of the plane was correct, then the red lines would converge to the same point as the green lines. I can only guess why they faked the image. Maybe it was just easier to create the symmetrical composition with some cutting and pasting rather than by clicking the photo at the perfect moment??? |

Blaine,
If you go back and look at the pics of Wes flying my Extra and his Carden CAP you will notice that he is parking them right on the flight pod where you will be standing in April. Do you think you will be able to focus with his plane flying rings anound you??? :) Bean |

Hey Bean,
I've been seeing that trick for a long time. You have to remember that I been flying with Mike Sauls for a few years. I've got a couple of new tricks for Wes. Tell Wes the real test is to hover in someones face with someone else is in yours. Thats the true test. You have to be really focused and have some big ones. Should be fun in Moblie. Blaine |
