The Inspire 60 is a True hard core 3D plane.

It looks as it could be the BEST pure 3D plane to date, if it will stay light.

Their other planes do well, I expect this one will do the same.

Been a while since a plane jumped out to me with the right set up for hard core 3D.

The Inspire 60.

I saw it in MA a couple of days ago and when I get to RCU, I noticed no chatter. After I make the post, I see someone else post about it, too. Sorry about that.

Surprising was the lack of chatter about the plane. It has all the makings of a great pure 3D plane. It's a semi fat pattern type design, with big ass surfaces. If it can be done sub 5 pounds, with a YS 63. It should be amazing.

Electric is the way to go.

Looks good. I checked out the vid. Smooth flyin gplane. I'll bet its really precise, too.

I did not find the vid impressive. The plane seemed nose heavy and he needed some expo or something, cause it seemed twitchy. However, the plane got tossed around a bit, so................was it that windy or was the plane that light?

I don't base planes on what I have seen them do, I base them off the design, how to set them up and what the plane should be able to do.

I am also a big fan of planes like the Madness, Mad II, Flip, Prozac, Laser 3D and profiles. This one does not use a profile, type wing. I like the look of the semi thick, tapered wing. Sould fly straighter, better then previous birds. Now it they would do a 2 meter version.

That's what I mean by saying "I'll bet its precise." Meaning he didn't fly it that way, but the double tapor wing, long tail moment and canopy location all point to a precise airplane.

It doesnt look too tailheavy to me really. It looks more like the pilot was just a little off. Im liking the way the plane appears to handle a LOT.

If you look at the flat spins they did flatten out pretty well once he got off of the ailerons and it waterfalled really tight.. Harriers and stuf looked really stable. Man I wish I could find a plane like this for my YS 1.40 sport. I have it and about 5 futaba 9151's that need a home. Id like to have something on the order of this plane.

kinda off topic but, ive seen the OMP's 80" edge in action at a local fun fly and I could tell you this thing will flat spin like a bamma!!! however harriers were a little rocky but, its something you could fix relitively easily. The YS 1.4 will rocket this thing!!

A SA plane will never fly the same way as a pattern based 3D bird.

There are a few 2 meter 3D birds, but they are thousand dollar kits and 1800 arf's.

I agree with Mike, a 2 meter bird like this at a reasonable price would be the ticket.

You mentioned being a fan of the Mad II. I've only heard them talked about a little, but not where to get one. Any help along that line would be APPRECIATED.

I got mine from direct from some place in France. Cost me about 500, once it got here. Do you put just a tad of locktite on servo screws going into metal gear servos when using alum servo arms? I do now.

I don't wanna talk about it.

It was $300 awesome, not 500 awesome.

I never use locktite as long as there is a lockwasher on the screw. Also, now I use socket head cap screws on my hitecs in place of the philips head. Makes them a lot easier to deal with .

Wow did that thing smoke a lot. Almost more than a heli. Wonder what fuel he was using to make it smoke like that.

yeah cant miss the smoke!! does anyone knows on how to contact any rep from fliton I'm very interested on this plane but i cant find any more info on the plane, sure like to know if it is for sale or is in the making and better yet how much$$$

I still havent seen anything to beat the 3D performance of the built-up Capiche and its big brother the Capiche 140ex (Island Hobbies). With YS63DZ and YS160DZ respectively they are unbeatable in terms of pure flight performanceas far as i can see, and they arent expensive either. Ive also had Edge 540s and still have a Rhapsody, both are very very good in the 2m -ish class but the Capiche just has the edge. It even makes me look like a good 3d pilot!

I contacted Fliton about where to get the plane in the states. I checked several of the dealers they list on their site and of all the ones I checked not a single one of them listed Fliton as a manufacturer they carry.

I got an e-mail back providing two links who might have the Inspire 60.
