Has anyone flown a modeltech magic 3d. If so how does it perform, and which is the best motor to use, Cheers..............Trev __________________________________________________ _________________________ |
RE: Modeltech magic
One of the better flyers at our field flies one and does really well with. He has a Webra 32 on it and I've read that's about the best motor for it.

RE: Modeltech magic
I've had four of them over the past four years (a new one each year!) and find them the most enjoyable small 3d airplane to fly.
Best combination for power is a Thunder Tiger Pro .36 with an APC 12.25 x 3,75 propeller with 10% Cool Power. harvee |
RE: Modeltech magic
I had one with a ASP 52 four stroke absolutly a blast for 99 bucks doesn't do outside stuff real well but everthing else is a hoot
My son-in-law has a saito 82 on his and it is ballistic |
RE: Modeltech magic
Awesome plane for the money, I had one Modeltech Magic and 2 Magic extras. 12.25x3.75 definately prop of choice for 3d. After crashing all three I built a Frankenstein out of the rubble:D

its a great plane, i have mine with a OS .46 AX, futaba 3004 servos in surfaces and a gws naro in the throttle, hitec electron 6 receiver and12.25x3.75 APC prop. great trainer for hovers, and a super stable plane at low speed.
i have my magic videos here: www.putfile.com/luisec it's the "magic limbo pass" file |

4-stroke is the only way to go! add tail weight until c.g. is at 5.25 to 5.5 inches. flat spins are unreal and hovers like a dream. Every weekend everybody wants to know if i am going to fly majic! Stay low flylow and hang on for the ride!

RE: Modeltech magic
Do you know anything about gyros for hoving? Nobody at my field does but someone said something about one but does not anything about it.

RE: Modeltech magic
Someone here swears by the Saito 56 on the Magic also. Rob and others are right about keeping them light and flying on the wing IMHO.

RE: Modeltech magic
