Cool, You rock !!

RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
Great job. You should try a spoileron mix. It will make the plane do an Elevator going straight down with out the nose being up.

Can you set-up the spoileron mix to a sprung-release switch? Have flown with this on an FF9 super II and it makes getting out of trouble lots easier
|
RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
sure, but I think it would be weird to fly around holding that switch. Better to practice using switches, I'm thinking. Or do like me and fly inverted elevators with some positive AOA and forget the spoilerons:D

RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
yeah, really. i fly a showtime and it does a mean elevator. it is not flat, but very nice and sinking. now if i am in an elevator and i hit my spoileron switch, i watch the showtime enter into an even faster sink rate, it's really enjoyable. i have gotten used to switching the spoilerons on and off with a mix switch, i also need them to do a crisp wall. as soon as its finished with the wall and hovering, i flip the switch. it was scary learning that, but i learned to just relax.

RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
No, I didn't. I respect my planes a little more than that.
But I guess someone else doesn't... |
RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
Respect? a Model Airplane?
Dude, your not Married to it. Not even sleeping with it. (I hope[X(]) Just kidding, I understand. I try not to wreck my stuff to fast but the added pressure of the video contest I had to go all the way. Lucky I also enjoy building. |
RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
i wreck a lot. just a part of getting down.

RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
I was practicing inverted elevators today (for the same contest) and noticed they were pretty flat, without spoilerons. BFC, I think we Bros are just bad dudes! BTW, beware the dolphin :D

When I was coming up, we impressed the other guys by not crashing. Now days the fellows try to impress one another by how badly they can mangle a plane. Go figure. |

Go figure. Are you suggesting I don't pay for my own stuff? I'm not quite old enough to have my kids support me. "In the Old days" OMG, you are in the 3D area remember. I'm sure there is an area here on RCU where "In the Old Days " is how everyone is. I've never been Wowed by anything done at 200 Ft. |
RE: inverted elevator - all the way!!
I have my mix on the trainer switch. I only use for Walls,Elevators,Parachutes and Water falls. So most of the time it's off. At the bottom of an Elevator I let off the switch hold a little elev and throttle up. It will just fly straight out. A little extra elev and it will jump into a hover.
