u can do .60 engine ???
 

hi everyone.

i was thinking og buying a u can do .60 and putting a saito 125 in it.

What do you guys think about the combo. i know its a bit overpowerd but thats the way i like it.

Also i have heard ( maybe i am wrong let me know)that the saito 125 is very wide ie needs alot of modification to fit it in an u can do mount

need opinions pls pour inn

Had a sato 125 in the ucd, seemed to have fuel draw problems with the tank distance and level. Never was reliable in hover. Replaced with the YS 110, wonderful running and flying airframe now. More power, reliable idle and hover etc. Great engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, If you can get a YS 110 you'd have a perfect match. You may experience some problems with the Saito 125 only because of the placement of the fuel tank but if you were to get a fuel pump for it it would probalby work just fine. The 125 is the same physical size as the 100 so I wouldn't think you'd have any problem fitting it in.

:)The Saito and YS have the same power at sealevel. The YS is better at altitude. You can get the YS at Central Hobbies. They have them in stock. Both engines are roughly the same price. The YS doesn't need a pump but is much harder to tune.

Either engine would fly this wonderful plane nicely. One of my favorites. I guess my perferance would be the mighty 110.

I have flown the UCD's with both the Saito 125 and the OS 120ax. Both have good power and run just fine in the plane. The OS has slightly more power and is MUCH smoother. Both engines fit fine within the cowl. I would highly recommend the OS.

Out of the three Saito 125 and the ys 110 and the 120Ax which one would you prefer?

I am inclining towards the 120 Ax as its a 2stroke ( i am more confortable) but the only fear overpowering too much wont fall apart in the sky.

Are there many people putting 120Ax on their u can do's"


The other problem is i Live in India where we dont get premix fuel like wildcat etc. so we mix castor oil and methanol in 80/20. Which works well with 2 strokes. and i have no previous experious on 4 stroke and then synthetic castor we get here imported is very expensive.
