DA-50 Prop Drilling

OK, Need some help here. Awhile ago I saw somewhere deep in a thread a short how to on properly lining up, marking and drilling a prop for a DA-50 (I have searched for the last 2 days and cannot find it). I am not to the point of drilling yet but it will not be long before I have to drill my prop for my new Yak and I want to do it right the first time.

The post referred to where to line up the ignition to ensure safe starting of the engine, then marking the shaft and I do not remember anything else. I am not sure who the author was but I am hoping it was in this forum. Regardless of that any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I know I should have saved it when I saw it but I was not thinking clearly at that time. Thanks in advance for help.

John

RE: DA-50 Prop Drilling

Thanks for the reply. I had found that one as well. The steps that I read included where to line up the ignition on the shaft to ensure the prop was in the right position for starting. Then you mark the shaft so you can line everything up everytime when drilling a prop.

I cannot remember what thread it was in I was just hoping someone else bookmarked it or the author remembers.

John
