I doubt they even make that anymore. I had the little electric version a few years ago and it was a pretty cool plane. I wouldn't mind having one of these babies also. I'll look around for you but i'm pretty sure it's discontinued

You just missed this one on eBay. I would have bought it but I got sidetracked and nver bid. It didn't receive bids, maybe the guy still has it.

I had a Laser 3D. Fun plane! If I had it to do over again I would go with the CA Funky 40 which looks almost identical.

RE: Laser 3D kit

I flew this for about 2 years before I got tired of it. Nice and floaty, great 3D trainer, if the wind was strong enough, was able to fly backwards. Since it was so light, was able to hover it with and O.S. 52 FS. Another nice thing was the wire gear, never tore off in deadstick landings in the booneys, just bent.

Reason I got tired of it was that the roll rate was too slow, making rolling circles painful. I've heard that people get around this by not building the wing tips. Also, in my kit, the balsa for the elevator/horizontal fin was very soft, and during one flight lost the tail assembly. I didn't realize this as it was my first nitro kit, but was able to land with just throttle and ailerons. Finally, I never had problems with the plywood mount included, but some people have with larger engines.

Good luck!

Ditto on the roll rate and soft tail stock. I didn't use the supplied soft 6mm or 7mm wood in the tail - I used medium 3/8" balsa. I cut the wingtips off after a while and it rolled much better.
