RE: Looking for my first Profile
I personally really like my OMP Edge-540 profile (www.ohiomodelplanes.com). Another good option is the Mojo .40; I hear there will be an ARF version soon (www.swanyshouse.com).

RE: Looking for my first Profile
OMP has no control over their ARFs. (fly good but fall apart)
Buy the kit or somthing else. |
RE: Looking for my first Profile

RE: Looking for my first Profile
:)I really like my OMP Fusion 90 size. I power it with the mighty 110. Most fun I've had since flying the UCD. It's a great plane. Does pretty much everything well.
It's a great combo. Thanks Barry |

I've got the OMP Fusion (40 size with an OS 50) and have found it to be very nice to fly and it's holding up well. I bought the solid yellow version and dress it up myself. Also I have the OMP Edge 40 that was a kit. It took a some time to build it and then it just sat for over a year. I'm not into covering so I hadn't finished it. Finally a guy at the field offered to finish it for me and that gave me the incentive to get it done. WoW! Nice flying plane. I put a Saito 82 on it and it is way too fun to fly.

RE: Looking for my first Profile
Anyone know of any free plans or sites out there with profile 3d craft please?
Cheers Dan |

TBob, Who manufactures the OMP ARF'S and what inside Information do you have to prove you statement? Cheers, Tim I personally have seen the kits fly very well but with the 3 ARFs I have flown they were built very poorly and fell apart in air. Tim it's just my personal observations and the customer service was very very poor. |

RE: Looking for my first Profile
You have "no inside info" but "know enough people who have told you..."
<yawn> So basically...you don't know at all. Right? Now you're to be taken as some sort of authority where model airplane QC is concerned? I'll jot that down, and keep that piece of paper handy. Never know when the TP dispenser might run low.... Go back to wherever you came from. Have fun there. NEWSFLASH: I know who you are! You're the guy who piled up your fusion, and blamed OMP for everything from World Hunger to Global Warming. |
RE: Looking for my first Profile
After three of them I would say I do know.
They're BAD. But hey thanks for the warm welcome. |

Tim it's just my personal observations and the customer service was very very poor. The comment you made was to the new Edge 540 ARF. We now manufacture our own ARF's at our own Factory. Previously, TMPro ARFed the Fusions and you won’t get a ringing endorsement from me on the tmpro front. We are getting ready to do a new Fusion Run and if you do your homework, you will find that we are cranking out some of the finest planks on the market. Cheers, Tim |
RE: Looking for my first Profile
You're most welcome.:)
C'mon Bob. You gotta wonder. So many others, including myself have had great customer experiences with the likes of OMP and others. I learned in Sunday School a long time ago that we "reap what we sow". Maybe if you'd handled the situation a little more diplomatically, you'd have gotten a better result hey? I think OMP deserves every chance to have your business. They're making great stuff at the leading edge of the hobby and they DO take customer satisfaction seriously from what I've seen. Close your mouth, open your eyes & ears, and see what everybody else has been having so much fun with. It's fun not to be angry with the world. |

ORIGINAL: T. Bob Most fun I've had since flying the UCD Here's my beauty. If I had it to do over...I'd still buy a Fusion. It's a nice, very nice profile plane. Thanks Barry |
RE: Looking for my first Profile
Who are you to quote me out of context The Fusion I had flew well and I hope they are built better, this time. We will see. As for the customer service they blamed me for the plane breaking and told me I was running the wrong prop on the motor I bought from them. Oh well that’s old news and it’s on the site somewhere. If OMP is building the planes stronger than in the past (last year) then they would be worth the money. |
