Engine choice fro Pizazz

Hi Gang,

I want to get a Pizazz. I have lying around a Saito 100 that I'd like to break in.

It's only 20.8 ounces so I don't think weight is an issue, but would it just be too much? Or would I be okay with judicous use of throttle?

Use the Saito 100. I have one on my PIZAZZ, what a blast. You really have to be throttle management prone. The cross braces in both wings came undone, I really think bad glue job. After I fixed them no problem, but I also slowed down on fast maneuvers. I have just a few ounces of lead at the tail. Dave

Engine choice fro Pizazz

On my Pizazz I had a Tower Hobbies .46, a OS .91 four-stroke, and a OS .91FX. The .46 was just enough. The .91FX was great. Just don't go too fast. I did and the tail flew off and went straight into the ground. I had to trash it.
Good luck.

Engine choice fro Pizazz

I have a Saito .91 w/14x6 Zinger on mine. I love the combo but think that the .91 is a little too much motor (if there is such a thing). I can't imagine what the 100 is like. My recomendation would be the Saito .72, it's got plenty of power without so much aluminum up front.

pizazz motor

I have been flying the pizazz with a OS 70 for a year now, but i have flown them with a wide variety of motors, OS 91, saito 90, and yes a saito 100. They will pull out from a hover better but the 70 seams to work the best. My pizazz has been through hell and back, but it just keeps on ticking. I can't blame the plane however, I just keep putting it in harms way. I have a spare one in the box, but refuse to put it together until this one dies, and it just refuses to do that no mater what we seem to try. For those interested we have some videos on

minnesotarc.com

Videos include>>knife edge touch and go, torque rolling,
hovering over a hole in the ice,
knife edge take off attempt, This was the first time it didn't work, just in time for the camera.
and finally the most fun.
SNOWBALL TOSS.
by the way, when the snowball it the pizazz, it almost took the rudder clean off, only the control horn held it in place.
Hope you all enjoy.

Scott
