Looks awesome!

I think this plane could redefine what we can expect in 40 size performance..

What about the new H9 40-size Funtana? A buddy just got back from Toledo and was telling me about it.

I love my UCD, but let's be honest; it ain't the prettiest model around. Actually, I think it looks like a pattern plane on steroids.

A mid-size model that is as agile as the UCD, yet looks like a real airplane, would be more desirable for me...

I actually think its a good looking plane, standing tall on its gear, practically begging you to fly it. Either way, with the way it flies I don't care if it doesn't look like a 'real' plane.

have they said how much that is going to cost? i may have to get a saito 72 for one of those this summer and use it as my everyday plane

Its too bad, the big UCD has so much coupling in knife edge. I wonder if GP worked that problem out on the 46 size.

I like my UCD, but if I crash it or sold it, I wouldn't buy another.

As for the funtana, if theweight comes out right, it should be a good little performer, I think the funtana has a 56" wing. To me that is a big 40 size aerobatic plane, or a small 60 size. In my opinion it will probably take a good 60-90size motor to get the performance out of it.

finally manufactors are coming to the conclusion that, people can't or won't buy a big aircraft to do aerobatic stuff, and 3d. Besides a few airplanes and manufactors the .60size is an untouched market in probably a decade or so. But I'll take .40size too.

Look at the pic of the plane and notice the much lowered elevator. That should play a big part in reducing the coupling.

I just saw in another thread where people were talking about the lowered stab. The should help correct the coupling problem.

I wonder how the elevators are going to be. surely their on 1 servo to save weight. Surely the rudder is on Pull Pull. My projection is the wing span should be around 55" . I have a YS63. So if the weight is around 5lbs are so. Vertical performance would be great.

It should be a good little plane. I like my big UCD for hovering, and torgue roll practice.

Looks at the pics in the arf thread again. Servos are in the back, two for the elevators. This thing is full house, just like its big brother.

I'm hoping to finish up my first UCD this weekend. WOW, it's a big plane for $175 (- $15 and free shipping at Tower). I'm used to .46 size funflys so this thing is a giant to me.

Lots of plane for the money. I hope the smaller UCD doesn't force the price of its big brother up :(

Great looking plane. A nice change-up from the 60 sized UCD. I love my UCD, but like most others my only complaint is the coupling. I'm sure the lower stab will fix that issue to some degree. I'm sure the YS 63 and the Saito 72 would be the choice of engines just like the YS91 and Saito 100 are for the 60 sized.
