hi hypeitup i also have a hype 3d but i have an os 50 in mine with a tuned pipe it hovers at 1/4 throttle but the vertical performance is a bit slow(i think) my friend has an irvine 53 in his wildcard and i have to say its excellent even vertical

hope this helps

I have also purchased a Hype 3D with an irvine 53. Just wondering what prop is best to use. Also have you experienced or heard of the rear fuz breaking,it looks fairly weak and i have heard rumors of it breaking.

hi gavb
try an apc 12,25x3,75 works well, but you could also use 13x4.
good luck

Had Irv 53 in mine with the 12.25/3.75 prop. CG has to be way back to hold a half decent hover in no wind. You'll have to take the covering off underneath and box the battery in to do it.

don't want to patronise you but make sure you've re-inforced the horiz stab. The thickness of the sides of the fuse aren't thick enough to deal with the forces. If you're going to box the battery in the tail, then put some tri-balsa inside the tail up against the horiz stab and inside fuse sides. IT'S A MUST BEFORE YOU EVEN FLICK THE ENGINE !

The old one admittedly but I've still seen posts on here where the same problem has happened with weakness around the horz stab.

As far as I'm aware the design of the Hype hasn't changed it's just being made by another manufacturer that is making it how Weston wanted it made originally.
