SY props and RC Only Site
 

hello all

it was July 30 when i made the order ( 5 x SY 16x8 props for my crrc pro 26 engine )

since then i am still waiting for my order to arrive - i have sent so many mails to the guy i spoke with but no reply and i am getting very very nervous

status of my order is that already shipped

any of you guys have similar problems with the www.rconlysite.com ?



@ at least they have to give me a tracking number or contact me so i can figure the problem out

Sorry about your plight but guess it only proves it best to patronize LHS or well known suppliers such as Tower?

Well I'd be a little dubious of any RC product site that carries an ad for online insurance on its front page and has an email address that isn't in the same domain as its website.

I also found this thread on another site that has very little in the way of nice things to say about them.

Remember Google is your friend. It always pays to spend a few minutes doing a search and checking out other people's experiences with a company, especially if they seem to be offering prices that are almost too good to be true.

Had problems with this guy as well. I chased this fellow a long time trying to get a 7.95 prop that I paid for but never received. I finally smartened up 6 weeks later and called my CC company to get my money back.

I am sorry to say you have came across a person who has taken many people for thier hard earned money. I know this for a fact becasue I am one of them Here is my story that I have sent off the FlyRC Magazine trying to see if their is a way to stop him from advertising with them.

Dear Sir;

I would like you to know about a person who is ripping people off and he is advertising in your magazine. In the October issue of FlyRC on page 57 there is an add for “Deals in RC” His web site is RCOnlysite.com. Last May I paid for and bought a CMP Zero with Century Jet retracts for $581.00 After a month I had not received anything so I called him. I had already sent 3 e-mails with no response. He told me he was in the hospital and would get back with me when he got out. Another 2 weeks went buy. I called and he was still sick. He has used this same excuse with more than me. I have talked to others on RC Universe and they had said he used the same excuse with them. I finely called my credit card company and they said I had 60 days to get my money refunded and it had already been 3 months so I would have to deal with him.

I called the local court house in Florida and started the proceedings to take him to small claims court. I called him and told him if I did not get my money back I was coming down to Florida and we where going to court. He said he could no longer get me the CMP Zero with CJ retracts and ask if I would take a CMP Corsair, CRRC 26 and retracts. I told him I would just so I would not have to go to Florida. I did get the CMP Corsair and CRRC 26 but the retracts have never showed up and he will not answer my calls or e-mails any longer. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else and I saw his add in you magazine. I thought you would like to know. The Corsair and CRRC 26 came to a total of $450.00 so I am out $131.00. I found out I cannot do anything about is because I took shipment from him on the order.

I was done the same way by The Fliton Store. I ordered an item in October of last year, after a couple of days I received a tracking number saying the order had been processed but not shipped, it still says this today. I have sent many, many emails but get no response. I started researching The Fliton Store and what I have found is they have a long history of stealing. I am in the process of making sure this does not happen to anyone else but it has been a difficult process.

I am sorry to hear this same thing happen to you by another dealer.[:'(] I will make sure I never do any business with the Fliton Store and make your you never to any business with RC****site.com. [:@] I think RCU is they only resource we have to warn others out there about people like this.

I agree Jim, we should spread the word about these scumbags. When I tell my horror story about The Fliton Store, which I do whenever I get the chance, I will include a warning about the dirtbags that ripped you off.

I e-mailed FlyRC Magazine the other day about Barry Cohen and his web site RCOnlysite.com. You see RCOnlysite advertised with FlyRC Magazine in 2008. Here is what Mr Atwood had to say about Barry Cohen of RCOnlysie.

Mr Jim Stanton and myself have written letters to FLYRC magazine about his dishonesty with customers. Look up, Jims thread, a search on RConly, and you will see a few threads about Mr. Barry Cohen.
Don't hold your breath on receiving anything from him. If it was a very recent transaction, cancell it, you will be money ahead!

Sorry to hear you guys had the same problems with Barry and rconlysite as I did about 10 months ago. This guy is a true weasel. I hope for the best for you guys and yes we need to spread this around to prevent any more victims. There is also a lot of "Barry" info on the FG forum.

OMG, Barry Cohen has surfaced once again??
Let me tell you, this dude has a history of ripping people off and being a general slime ball and d-bag for over 20 years!
I have heard of many dealings with him in my modeling life and not one has turned out with a happy ending.
He used to live in West Palm Beach, Florida. Perhaps he is still there.FT

To all who have be had by Barry Cohen,

Here is what I am doing, if we all get involved, we can at least make his life crappy. I call him several times a day and ask for
a refund. He swears at me and hangs up. I just call back. I am polite, but insist on a refund for product that was paid for and not sent.
If everyone called 561-577-3075 2 or 3 times a day, we could at least make his life hell until he changes his number.

Just my 2 cents worth.

This is starting to work. Barry is starting to get very upset at the volume of calls he is getting. He went as far as to tell me the Sheriff was monitoring
our conversation and then started to swear at me. We all need to stay on this guy! We need to let him know that we as a group will not take this kind
of scam laying down. This will also serve as a lesson for those who would try this in the future. Anyone who has sent this clown a check through the USPS
should contact the post office. They can put you in touch with the Postal inspectors. A Link can be found here:

Something must have happened I went to his site and clicked a buy now and a popup says this recipient is unable to receive money, I guess he got his just dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
