Oh, lately we've had great sunny weather the last couple of years. It's been a daisy.......[8D] Today has been the first real day of rain in about a month and a half. [8D]

gjeffers :D
You gotta quit showing those old pictures. We all know your hoping someone will take pity and send you a new one. Hows the UCD 60 flying? Is it true that the UCD 46 is prefered over the 60? A fly in at your field would be a great idea. Especially two months from now when the snow is the only thing flying in OH. Flew twice tonight in windy conditions. Landings wern't pretty. Sure do love this plane.

Barry
Flying on your knees.:) Next it will be flying blind folded. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Hey Gary:-)...... Our funfly is in the second or third week of Oct.... But
maybe the fourth week:).... I missed the last two meetings:-(

ESPN poker..... HMmmmm... It's been taking a lot of my time... Stupit
online games....

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/index

Think it's slowing my "Do" repair.... Yeah the son-in-law show me the site...
And I've been "trying" since.... It's free Texas hold em, 7-stud and omaha
card games for free... with a chance for a free trip to Vegas paid tourn. etc..
So a lot of my time is doing that...... Dam it......

Hiding under Canopys........ Let's go:-).... Ohhhhhh wait a min... I have to
fix the "Do" :D

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

i hate it when i forget to go to the next page[:@]

yea Doug, it really would be great if everyone could come in jan or feb because i do have probably the best weather in the country(with Raider Ron) in the winter, thats when i do the most flying, i get to fly after work and its a not happening thing in the summer, has to be sunup to fly when its 120[8D]

id better not even go there Ron if your havin that much fun there:D im a blackjack man anyways;)
ill give ya about a month notice before coming down and make sure its a go first, but patty is ready to gamble now[X(]

:)dougwill...Flying blindfolded, you laugh. Buy hey, I fly with my eyes closed part of the time.
It gives you a better feel for the plane. I haven't perfected it yet, still working on that, but hey, it's gotta work.

raideron, give up that poker....Flying rc planes is gamble enough.

Thanks
Barry

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey Gary.... Anytime is great!!!.... No notice needed:-)... You know about the
snowbirds.... We do get a few here, and during the "Cool" months the field does
get a bit busy.... But besides that... All is great!!

Barry... I know.... But last nite I was up to 4 am trying to get my points:-(..
At two, I unplugged my planes from the charger since I knew I would not get up
But it was a bit windy this am.... Will be out in the am:-))... But I'm playing right
now.... Funny thing, 5mins and across the river I'd be at the real thing.... But
then again... It's Real money... And I need that for planes:-)

Could someone save me a search and give me a spinner that works on Saito (7mm X 1) and retailer. I know they were mentioned back there somewhere. Plastic one is not getting it.

:)dougwill...I use a Higley prop hub, from Tower Hobbies. They look like crap and are inefficient. Just my style.
Thanks

hey Doug, i use tru turn, but mine are 8x1.25, sorry[&o]

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

65, 72, 80, 82, 91 Engines: These engines use a 7x1 mm thread. Use
Tru-Turn Adapter Kit TT-0718-A (7x1.0mm/8mm); this adapter does
not have a jam nut. Another adapter TT-0717A has a jam nut and is
the one recommended on the Tru-Turn web site..

Got the above from the Saito site... , So I guess their saying to use the
TT-0717A.... You always want a double nut on 4c's.. I use a T.T as
Gary..... It's a 2 & 1/2" Only problem so far...... The engine is on the 4*
And the spinner is on the Profile:(....... They both flew Great this morn..
If I ever get it on the "Do".... I'll have to go with Barry's way... Since I
bought a Higley.... It sort of looks like a button on a fur coat..... Ohhh
wrong story...... Let's see.... a set for the O.S's , Mag, YS.... And now
I need another adapter for the Saito.... This is a lot of fun...

I'm liking the 16X4W.... The 15X6 is still in the bag... I gotta try it though..

Hey Doug, here's the one I use on my Saito 82 [link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXE161&P=7[/link] [8D][8D]I use the nut that comes with the motor and this prop nut as the second nut. Works for me and has never come off....[X(]

yes that is what I meant did you measure the whole in the ground because that looks like more than three D:D probably 6 in. deep I guess I've been lucky I'm still on my first 46 you can do I have gone through 2 60 size you can do's but my favorite is still the giant did you now that thes ucd are habit forming and I think I am totally addicted it seems like that's all I ever want to fly and when I do fly something else I have troubles landing it [:o]

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

CEEGEE, ya got a pic of that prop nut on your 82 mounted on the plane? i might be goint with the 82 on my next one[X(]. just to simplify things a bit. with the saved 6 oz there shouldnt be much dif in power but will be a little better rising inverted flatspin:D(and ill get a new saito[8D])

cannonball, i tripped on the hole when i was cleaning up and broke my tail, the only tail i have broke so far[X(] and yes i am addicted,i was going to get a edge but now all i can think about is how much i want my DO back, so thats what im planning;)

Well, I cheated a bit. The picture is from Tower but I do have that prop nut on the 82. It's a daisy......[8D]

man, it just dawned on me----- id have to become a chicken sticker if i went with the prop nut:eek:,he!he!he!, according to the electric starter or chicken sticker thread id move up in the world[X(]but who would know anyways, im just one in a club of none[&:]

No chicken stick needed on the above prop nut. I use my electric starter. [8D] I'm not into sticking. [:-] I even use the electric on the OS 46 on my profile. [X(]
Oh, I realized that I misread the previous post asking about the picture of the prop nut on the plane. [:-] Here ya go......
On the profile I don't use a backup nut just the prop nut. Somebody at the club mentioned that you didn't need the backup one so I just use the prop nut only. Works great.....[8D]

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

ive never used a propnut Rob, i thought that they were too small for the cone on the starter?

Hummm....... [:-] I don't know. Maybe it depends on the cone shape. (?) Here's another pic.......
Speaking of prop nuts...... I have to go back to work at Boeing tomorrow. I've been off work almost a month because of the stike. It's been the best month I've had in a long time.
Just took some pictures of the new "hangar" yesterday. Got lots of stuff done on it during the time off......[X(]

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

[:)gjeffers...I'm with Cee Gee. I use a prop nut on every plane I have/had. Well, except the Yak. I use the Higley prop nut but mine are round, not cone shaped. They don't look too bad if you get used to it. I use the electric starter on all of mine. If you pull the rubber out of your starter you can but another one with a smaller hole that works just fine. In fact some starters haver the smaller hole on the other side. They work fine. You don't need to be a "chicken".
Thanks

Barry

RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Man!! You guys got everything!! [X(] One of these days I'll have to get a spinner like that. I always end up mangling the plastic ones when I try to cut it out for the wider blade. [>:] That's how I ended up with the prop nut type. Sounds like a good set up Gary.
