RPM's out of 55AX??
 

Threw a new 55AX on the Burrito and took it out to break it in today(Got tired of the Saito 82 vibrating the covering so bad, it drove me crazy) Man this thing has some guts! Running a 13 x 4 that I had and it rips this little 4 &1/4 lb plane around. Just got 5 tanks thru it so still not really dialed in-pretty cold here so need a nice day to finish running it in. Will try a 13 x 4W also later on. Wondering what kind of RPM's I can expect out of these props.

My 55ax will spin an APC 13x4 at about 13,000 rpm. 15% nitro. I tried a 13x4w APC but never tached it. Didn't like the 13x4W. It hovered nice with the wide blade, but it lost it's snap compared to the 13x4.

Why you want to take a pure decent sport engine and get rpm's? Like most OS engines, they are timmed for around 14,000 with a decent muffler. If you want go, get a Webera speed 55, add Jett or Nelson pipe, break in well for at least a gallon ON THE BENCH, ADD a apc 10 X 10, bolt it on something that will scoot and enjoy near 20,000 rpm speeds. I race one against Jett 60 LX but againt low time pilots and yet to be beat!!! ENJOY
