BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
Hello everyone, this poll is to find out what prop you guys think is the best out there for 3d in general and need some info for the type of prop to use on my MLD 28cc which is mounted on a AW yak 90-120 size?
Feel free to post tach readings to compare props as well! Later, Colin :) |
RE: BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
Tach readings are silly.
Actual usable thrust in flight is what will make you happy. |
RE: BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
Take out MA and TF
Add JFX and MSC |
RE: BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
Isn't JFX a knock-off of another brand listed up there? I'm not sure, but I think it's Xoar.
Either way, I voted for APC W. I know they don't have the greatest spool-up, but they have great thrust. Plus, if you believe Pe Reivers, APC-W props are about the most efficient props out there (besides Mejzlik 3-blade props). To be honest, there are several of those props I simply haven't tested (Vess, Xoar and Zinger included) that are high on most people's list of props. |
RE: BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
I also have had good luck with the APC W props. Although I have mostly switched to Xoar props now, seems like they have the same thrust and spool up much faster. APC are much tougher though!!

RE: BEST TYPE OF PROPELLAR!?!?!?!
I know what you guys mean with the apc w i have one on my os 55ax (13x4w) . Especially if your new to flying or are a beginner breaking props is going to happen and apc props usually prevent that! Mejlik though are different they are light and very tough, in fact too tough in my case because unless you know you'll never break a prop on your plane don't use one because they will bend your shaft seen it on 100cc engines.
Anyone know anything about vess vs xoar ive heard there very close butt vess being better? |
