Diabolic
I am considering the purchase of the Diabolic from Esprit Models. I would love to get opinions? Dose anyone own one? How well will it fly with an O.S. 61 fx?

Diabolic
I am flying one with a Saito .91. It's plenty of power. This is not a plane you fly fast. It will do things that are real show stoppers. The maneuver I like best is a low level hover the flip over ( forward or back) into a hover. If you have a .61 FX give it a try. Just remember to use a very low pitch prop.

This is a photo of the only one I have seen. I found it like this at Joe Nall. The sign claimed that the tail came of 15 seconds into the flight. I did not see how the guy did it but I looked at the construction in the tail and it was not strong by any stretch.
I had been interested until I got a good look at this one. If you get one I would follow FlyHard's advice and keep it slow. |
Wow
That does not look good. I may have to think of something else.
Thanks guys. |

I saw that at joe nall too, but a couple steps down from it was another one with a sign showing the correct tail installation. Apparently it was not done correctly.
I have 6 of esprits planes that I have purchased over the past year and they are built fine. |
Diabolic
I've been flying mine for about 8 months now. It flies great and does outstanding low speed aerobatics. Install the tail surfaces correctly and you shouldn't have any problems. The covering and framing are outstanding compared to many ARF's that I've seen.

I had one for quite a while with at Satio 100, Do not use more than a 4" pitch on the prop. It is a very slow flyer. It is fun to fly
