Which prop for OS 120 FS for 3D

Hi Guys,

I have a Great Planes 60 size Extra 300S with an OS 120 FS on it.
It flies really well and does really nice blenders as far as 3D goes, but I cant get it to hover. It either climbs out or falls out when I try to hover, I think I need a prop with a much lower pitch and larger diameter. I would like to torque roll it. Does anyone have this plane/engine combo and torques it. I have extended rudder and elevator control surfaces on this plane. CG is at its edge for stable flying.

Thanks,

Thanks outssider for the reply. I will try it.
Did you have this setup on an OS 120?

actually i'm running a 16/6 ma wood scimitar on a ys 120. I believe that the apc 16/6 is a superior prop but will not spool up as quickly due to it's additional mass. I like the quick spool up for my type flying ;)

apc 16X6 is a good match for the OS 120. I've used it on the both the pumped and standard versions w/ good results. This engine also responds well to 20% nitro, if you don't mind the expense.

Thanks so much LoveBipes.
I was at the local hobby shop today. They did not have any of the APC 16X6 so I bought the APC 16X7. Do you think that the pitch difference is critical? I built and installed an on board OptiGlow for this airplane as well. I am hoping to get some 3D sticktime on this Extra before moving onto my 27% H9 Edge 540 with a ZDZ 50 for a powerplant.

Thanks again,

Striker.
