Hovering skills on a PBF

I am learning to harrier and hover with a PBF. I seem to be able to fly the plane OK and can hover sometimes and harrier the rest.

My question is, will the stick skills that are starting to become reactive with this PBF be transferrable to a 'real' plane?

I don't have a plane capable of 3D yet and thought it would be a good idea to wreck the heck out of a PBF first.

After a solid 35 minutes of flight time today on the PBF, I got thinking about my skill development...

Thanks,

Yes, the skills transfer over. The PBF is very easy to walk around in a harrier but the controls are similar. The QHOR is an even better trainer for harrier control.

You will start to notice that you are using the rudder a lot more on other planes. You will not believe how fast your thumbs get trained harriering around with a pbf or pqhor.

I noticed that today. Not only the use of the rudder but the amount of stick travel required to keep the plane in check.

Another thing I noticed is that when I use the rudder, I also use throttle at the same time - it just became reactive and natural.
