U-Can-Do 46 Loose Horizontal Stabilizer

One of our club members lost control of his U-Can-Do 46 immediately after take off , after an emergency landing we noticed that the horizontal stabilizer had completely separated from the fuselage. Has any one had any similar problems ? I have one on my bench with the stab already CA' d in place but plan to add support in the area. Any suggestion ?
Thanks .

Engine used OS 70 .

It might be in your best intrest to use epoxy instead of ca. Ca becomes brittle eventually and will not hold up to the stress like epoxy...

I also had issues with the horizontal stab on my UCAN 46, I noticed mine was loose while cleaning after 10 fairly aggressive flights. Mine was epoxied and still came loose. My fix was using tristock under the stab to give more area for the stab to glue to. Have not had a chance to fly since this fix but I believe this will take care of any issues with it coming loose.

ca hinges are great and convenient but has to be installed correctly, we want to fly to fast to soon and seem to take this assembly process for granted. we have several planes with ca hinges and have to date never had a failure and these planes are 3d and speed planes. please take care with ca hinges and follow the 100%correct procedure. best

Definitaly tail heavy. but flies good that way.
I had the horizontal stab came loose yesterday and glue it bac in. Today the whole tail section broke loose and destroyed the airplane. I am really bummed out but I bought another one and am going to do some srenghtening to the fuselage just to the rear of the servos. The plane flies so well , it deserves a second try.
