U Can Do 3D .46 tank problem

Just started breaking in my new Saito .72 on my new U Can Do 3D .46, and it wants to flood after engine stops. The tank is about 3/4" higher than the carb. I have been using forcepits (spelling?) to pinch the fuel line, but what a hassle with the cowel on. Run great while running. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I can't be the only one who is havig this problem.

People have had the same problem with the large UCD as well. Most people get a Cline regulator or a Perry pump to solve the problem. One guy on here said something about making a loop in the fuel line to stop this. He stated it worked great. I'll have to try and find that post.

Between the two, I went for the cline for its simplicity and proven effectiveness. Here's the site billsroom.com/pcfs/ It's a bit of $$ but worth it in the long run.

Thank guys for the reply. Looks like I will be giving the Cline a try.

Too bad Great Planes didn't put a little more thought into how they designed the tank area for an inverted engine installation. The Cline will solve the problem though. :)

90 degree elbows

CHECK OUT CENTRAL HOBBIES TETRA FUEL ELBOWS ON THEIR WEBSITE. I USE TWO 90 DEG. ELBOWS OUTSIDE THE COWL WITH A FILTER ATTACHED TO FUEL TUBING BETWEEN THE TWO. ONE SIDE GOES TO THE TANK FOR FUELING AND THE OTHERSIDE TO THE CARB. YOU JUST FUEL UP AND CONNECT THE OUTSIDE LINE BACK TOGETHER - NO FLOODING. TRHIS IS A $5 SOLUTION.
