Tribute 36

Hii Guys,
I have just bought the Tribute 36 ARF from Hangar 9 and would like your views on the plane.
Any precautions or any sort of points I should adhere to whilst bulding it.

I have decided to mount an OS 35 AX and use Hitec Servos HS 311

Please give your views on the above!

Thanks
Akshay

The landing gear is very soft forcing you to land gently to prevent bending. The fuselage is not reinforced and will break at the slightest hint of a rough landing. Although it is a fun plane, and I enjoyed owning mine, I felt it was not built strongly enough.

I wonder if a Saito .40 would be enough for 3D flying....

Hello!
well people the tribute has come to and end!
I would love explanations!

SO i was flying at the field and I had one flight and all was fine.

Now i took my second flight and i did a snap roll for the first time like 5 mins into flying and i was inverted.
Suddenly I lost all control of the model ailerons, eevator, throttle, rudder nothign seemed to respond
As a result after trying to fly invereted on its own for about 5 seconds the model started its earthly descend with 70% throttle
on hitting the ground it shattered. When i ran across my radio and reciever were still on and then when i moved aileron again the servos responded.
It felt as though the reciever had a lock out!

IM using 2.4ghz with the 10 channel futbaba radio
my batteries were fullly charged!

what went wrong!

Crap like that happens all the time. Very frustrating. Sometimes I'll only lose one channel, other times all of them.

Man there is a list of things that could have went wrong, bad receiver switch, receiver battery pack bad, problems with your Trans. bad receiver, you stated your batteries were fully charged just because you had them on a charger just means you had them on the charger did you check your voltage before your flight? I get that from our sparky at our field all the time and when asking many of our guys we find ,sometimes after checking their batteries we find they have just been charging dead packs. Who knows, there is an old saying I like (what ever will be will be, what ain't supposed to be just might happen) LOL!!!

Start a build thread, won't you? Or just put your photos and such on this thread, if you like.

I'd love to see.

This will be in my hanger, one day. Waiting to crash a plane or two, first.

What will you power it with?

I wouldnt chance loosing planes and send them in to futaba to be checked.

I will be powering it wiith a super tiger .46 or maybe it's a thunder tiger, i haven't looked at it in a while, but i it have it laying around and i am having a hard time deciding what servos to put in it..anyone have any suggestions?  I will either start a build thread or continue with this.  I hear it's a good plane i am pretty excited.  Should be getting it in a couple of days!

Wouldn`t just gluing everything together so that the wing is fixed for good, strengthen it up pretty good? That`s what I intend to do when I eventually get one (no room for another plane just yet) It is so small anyway that it is no problem to transport it as one solid unit

RE: Tribute 36

Flew one for a while till I had a dead stick which snapped the fuse.

The fuselage is weak and tends to break behind the wing saddle. If I had to buy another one I would remove the fuselage covering and sheet completely with 3mm balsa.

Ordinary servos are fine as is any 40/46 engine, plenty of power.

Cheers
