Aircraft Graphic Options

Hi there. Just a question I have… Why is it that none of these companies building model aircraft offer solid color or white versions of their aircraft? This would allow customers to have graphics made by their favorite local graphic shop instead of having to deal with, lets face it, ugly color schemes. I know that many of you out there would agree with me. I think it would be cool to have something that's different than everyone else. There are surely companies out there doing things to upgrade their graphics, like Dietrich, Areoworks, and Extreme Flight. These are some of the better graphic options in my opinion. But when your going to spend $600-$700 on a new ARF, why cant you order one covered in white or black, so you can create your own graphic package???
Any one else out there with me on this?
|

If there was enough demand then the Chinese would supply it. That's how the rule works, they will build it if they can sell enough to make a profit.

But when your going to spend $600-$700 on a new ARF, why cant you order one covered in white or black, so you can create your own graphic package??? I agree! I've offered graphicxs packages for one color models for years! I call them "OCM" series. "One color models." I also have better than 52 different schemes in full view, in my website, for modelers to purchase, copy, or to get ideas for their models. None of my art has "ghost" lettering over the image. I deliberately do this so modelers can download the images for their personal use. My site is old and not updated, so not all of what I offer is presented. I do Warbirds of all sizes, including "Giant Scale." The Golden Era is my favorite, I offer many graphicxs for these famous Racers! Custom is my specialty and I go to great lengths so modelers can get exactly what they ask for. I'm a modeler first, so you won't see me "in your face" advertizing all the time, trying to make sales, but I should, at some point, update my website. I actually started doing this by trading graphicxs for R/C stuff. :D I have over 50 years of model building experience and 40 years in the art and graphicxs business. I can tell you quite honestly, some but not all, of the graphicxs on these ARF's, should be re-thought, or as Aero suggested, be made available naked. And for less money!
