Gas pilot converting to electric

After visiting the trade show in White planes last year and seeing a flat foamie hover I decided I must have one of these things. I've been flying nitno & gas for years but my electric experience is limited. I'm thinking of getting the Great Planes Flatana w/ rimfire motor. Any other suggestions or advice to make my first 3D purchase a good one would be appreciated.

Hi, since you posted in my forum, Ill suggest what I know most about, Id recommend one of my www.3dfoamy.com edge's or similar, they are strong, wings dont flex like those other foamies, mine have my gforce designed wing for awesome flight characteristics from harriers to full speed flight.

And, welcome to RCU!

Yeah man, go with a 3d Foamy. I have the Katana S, and one time, my electronics failed midflight, plane glidded down, not a scratch! These really are some great foamies, the gforce wing makes them fly much more "true". Go for it.
