Mini Pro

John I am so pleased with my Superxtra that I just finished that I want to replace my old worn out shock flyer with a mini-pro. I cannot access an area that allows me to purchase one. I want the SU-26. Let me know. By the way that Superextra does fly like the big birds. It is percise and wild at the same time. Just one question though. I notice that the wings do show some bend during high G manuevers. I am assuming that it is the nature of the beast since it does
not have any external carbon bracing (which I love by the way). Your thoughts on that?

Glad to hear!! I love mine too!

How high G are you talking? parachutes and full throttle walls may make them bow a little, but they are still tougher than others birds.

Ill try to get some of the mini's up this weekend.

Thanks!
JV

The SU-26 is my one of my favorites. The Supers are truly super and can't be beat. Have not noticed any flexing unless I am really nailing it hard. I am working on another 26 for this spring. Both are great choices!

Keep us posted John! Sounds like you got at least two orders already! Had a blast with my Superxtra this weekend. It does awesome knife edge harriers and it almost hovers on it's own. You may have some new orders coming in as all the guys at the local field have 3dfoamy envy!!! Thanks again John!

Bacosa,

What setup are you using in the SuperXtra? I am using the Hacker 20L, 10x4.7 prop with a 2170 3C pack. Battery pack is a little heavy but I already have them. Trying to decide if it is worth investing in smaller, lighter pack.

BTW, airframe ready to fly, less battery, is 14.6 oz per post office scale. Battery pack is 6.2 oz. Could lose 3 oz or so with a 1300 3C pack.

Thanks,
Coolair

RE: Mini Pro

Hey Coolair! I have two packs but I like the performance the best with my 1500 mah 3C electrifly pack. I am also using a Hacker 20-20L with APC 10X4.7. All up weight according to my mail scale is 17 oz with pack. This by far offers the best performance. Now I have a 2100 mah electrifly pack as well. I can definitely tell the difference. It requires a little more effort to hover. This may be partially because I am a little more nose heavy with that pack. My center of gravity is 4.25 inches back from the leading edge. That is 1.25 inches more that the recommended starting point. I run alot of expo on the elevator. Just checked and I am at 53% on the elevator, 40% on the ailerons and I run no expo on the rudder. I like an extremely sensitive rudder. I'll see if I can post some pics this weekend of my set up. (Also the plans show putting the rudder and elevator servos right after the wing. I put my down right before the horizontal stab and have about a 3 inch pushrod driving the control surfaces. I did not have to add any weight to the tail to balance out like I have had to do with other foamies. I hope this helps you out. Talk soon!
