RE: flying field in Lander WY
There is a nice field in Riverton, WY; which is right next door to Lander. I haven't been over there for a few years, but it was pretty nice a few years ago when it was just getting "off the ground", pardon the pun. The field is located on Highway 20-26, on the North side of town, in a facility named Wyoming Modelers Park.
I went drove over there a few years ago for a "Fly-In", only to learn that the fixed wing guys could only fly for 20 minutes per hour. The rest of the time was reserved for the Jets, and the Helicopters. I haven't been back since.
