Default RE: Extreme Flight 87" Yak 54 - Build & Fly

ORIGINAL: Bosshossv8

RDb ,

I have one of those EF Extra Rejects in the box. What did you do to the motor box for the DA-50??

17.5 with no Cf is decent, like a WH Extra.

It came with a spare firewall. I cut it down by 1 7/8 inches remounted and re tri stocked then added the aluminum angle on outside with epoxy and screws. The second one that I am assembling for my brother has FPE 3.2 power. Cut the firewal back the same amount there too. Will put mine on CF diet and take out the two 2000 NIMH and put in 1200 to bring it to around 16.75 flying wt.

Mike, sorry to hear abuout the Suhkoi's with gear problems...I like watching them at full scale airshows, a pretty flying bird. The only problem with the Pitts for me is too many servos and can't just stick it in back of my Ford Ranger ready to fly.....would have to get a trailer to haul around.
