Default RE: Field chargers?

The difference between the standard Sirius charger and the "PLUS" model
is the charge rate. The standard Sirius has a fixed charge rate of 550ma.
The Plus model has a fixed rate of 1100ma. The plus also has a small
exhaust fan to deal with the extra heat.

Peak Electronics can upgrade the Standard charger to the Plus model
for $30 if memory serves correclty. I considered having it
done on mine but decided it wasnt necessary. It would only be
beneficial if you had large battery packs to charge. Mine are all
1000-1800 mAh so I stuck with the standard model.

One other point. You cant really tell from the pictures but the
enclosure is heavy aluminum. Not plastic. Very solid and rugged.
